Crane hire company Ainscough has confirmed that it has had advisors in to look at the company’s future following mounting speculation that a deal is on the horizon.

Ainscough, one of the biggest crane hire companies in Britain and boasting a turn over of nearly £80m last year, confirmed that it has had advisors in to look at the firm’s options, but at present no deal had been confirmed.

Board director Steve Hitchen told builderandengineer.co.uk: “We’ve had advisors in looking at options and strategic options for the business over the last few months but there has been no deal done as yet. It’s still all speculation, there’s lots of talk, but no deal as yet.”
