The annual ICE Graduate and Student Papers Competition is now open for entries. Graduate and student members of the ICE are invited to apply to be in with a chance of winning a top prize of £2000 cash as well as training and book vouchers from Thomas Telford. Papers can be submitted on any topic related to civil engineering and can either be based on professional review or quarterly employment reports or adapted from original research or university projects. To apply, submit an application form <http://www.ice.org.uk/joining/document_details.asp?Docu_id=1818&intPage=1&faculty> and synopsis of your paper to your ICE Regional Support Team <http://www.ice.org.uk/about_ice/aboutice_nearyou.asp> who will then contact you. The first stage will involve a regional heat where candidates will be invited to present their papers. Regional winners will then be short listed to take part in the national final, to be held in London in June 2008.       |
