Founded in 1991 in response to the sight of thousands of rough sleepers on the streets of London, CRASH assists other homelessness charities by providing materials and professional expertise donated by its supporters from leading companies in the building industry to improve the premises for some of the UK’s most vulnerable and socially excluded individuals. 

The Director, working with a small team, is responsible for overall policy, fundraising strategy, public relations, project co-ordination, recruiting and working with patron companies within the building and property sectors and the financial soundness of the charity.

The post requires the same skills and qualities as a chief executive of a commercial or public sector company, with demonstrable compassion for social problems. CRASH’s offices are located in Chiswick, London W4
