The developer behind the plans to redevelop Carlisle Airport has withdrawn them after a planning dispute. Haulage group Stobart said it was also thinking of relocating its Cumbrian operations to Cheshire - it had wanted to base them at the newly redeveloped airport. The airport plans were called in to a public inquiry, last month. Stobart Air has now withdrawn its planning application for the airport and will instead try to submit another planning application to get it approved more quickly. |
