Carillion is to shut the former Scottish HQ of Alfred McAlpine, following its recent takeover of the company, according to local newspaper reports. According to the Herald, managers have told workers their positions were under review, though some will be offered new posts at Carillion's existing bases north of the border.
Carillion told around 600 workers that they were being placed on a consultation period that could last until summer. It was not clear how many of those jobs would be lost and how many transferred. |
