British Land plans Birmingham Natwest development E-mail
Tuesday, 29 April 2008

British Land has submitted a planning application to Birmingham City Council for a £160m office development in the city centre.

Designed by architects Hamiltons, the 441ft tall tower, which will be situated on the corner of Colmore Row and Newhall Street, will replace the smaller NatWest Tower, which will be demolished if owners British Land receive approval from the city council planning committee for the new structure.

As well as 285,000 sq ft of office space, the 35storey building could include ground floor retail accommodation and a roof top restaurant.

British Land's submission for planning approval follows public consultation last autumn.
