The new mark will be used primarily for sustainability, energy and construction related certification and will help specifiers and designers to cut through the greenwash surrounding the environmental performance of some products and services.

Chief executive of BRE Global Carol Atkinson said: ‘The new certification mark has been designed to complement our new name ‘BRE Global Limited' (formerly BRE Certification Limited).

Both the new name and the mark have come about because we needed to better reflect our growing range of business activities, and the increasing importance of our international and sustainability businesses."
