Members of construction union Ucatt, working for Birmingham Council, have today voted to strike after receiving ballot papers for industrial action earlier this month.
Workers have decided to strike over the council’s decision to impose new contracts on the vast majority of its workforce. Ucatt claims that the new arrangements will result in employees facing large reductions in their pay. |
