Detailed plans for the proposed regeneration of the former Belmont Hospital by Tiverton-based home builder Devonshire Homes and English Partnerships, will be on public display today. The former Belmont Hospital is one of two sites Devonshire Homes were selected to redevelop by English Partnerships following a formal bidding process. The other site is that of the former Tiverton and District Hospital site where preliminary design work is due to commence later this year. It is understood that a final application for the site’s redevelopment, which will include a mixture of one, two, three and four bedroom properties, is expected to be lodged at the end of July. Devonshire Homes hopes to start work in January 2009, subject to the final plans being approved. Steve Russell, land and planning manager for Devonshire Homes commented: “We understand that local people are keen to see progress made with the site and really hope that they will take the time to attend, view the detailed plans, and discuss them with us.”
The exhibition, will be held at the New Hall in Barrington Street, Tiverton from 3.30pm until 8.00pm. |
