Balfour Beatty has been short listed with two other contractors to replace and improve thousands of outdated streetlights, illuminated traffic signs and bollards in Coventry. The shortlisted three are:
*Amey Ventures Investments Coventry City Council will enter into a Private Finance Initiative for the replacement of around 80% of its existing 32,000 streetlights, along with the replacement of illuminated traffic signs and bollards. It is thought a contractor will be selected in spring 2009 with work beginning in autumn 2009. The selected contractor will also be responsible for all future maintenance of the lighting infrastructure at a standard set by the council for a 25year period. |
