Carillion has won a Built in Quality Award from the London District Surveyors Association for its high-rise mixed use building project in Wandsworth, situated on the banks of the river Thames. Falcon Wharf received the Best High Rise Residential Award, and as a result will now be entered into the Built in Quality National Awards in October. Falcon Wharf, a £35 million contract for George Wimpey City, is a mixed-use development designed by architect James Burland. The building comprises 124 residential apartments with basement car parking, an integrated office block and a boutique hotel with views overlooking the river Thames. The cruciform-shaped building gives 360degree views with a facade of curvilinear glass, steel and timber. |
