Amey buys WYG rail division

Amey has bought consultant WYG’s rail division for an undisclosed fee.The acquisition of the national rail consultancy of WYG Engineering sees Amey secure 100 staff and a portfolio of existing contracts and professional services frameworks.

The move means Amey’s rail consulting arm has grown from just 200 people in 2006 to almost 1,000 today.
