Based in Byley, Cheshire, Buchan Concrete Solutions employs approximately 170 people and last year generated revenues of £29m.
 
Net assets as at 31 December 2006 were £10.6m.
 
Chief Executive Samir Brikho said: "I am very pleased that we have found a strong purchaser who wants to further develop and invest in another of Amec's non-core businesses.
 
"The successful disposal of these businesses is a key objective for 2007. The process is going well and I look forward to providing the market with an update on the overall disposal process on 16 May 2007, when Amec provides a trading update for its annual general meeting."
