Budget hotel operator Accor UK is to open a 150-bedroom budget hotel in Manchester.
Landowner Royal London Asset Management has secured planning permission for two buildings at the corner of Great Ancoats Street and Pollard Street, one a maximum of seven storeys containing the hotel, the other a five-storey office building with retail on the ground floor. A second phase of development will also include 74 new homes and a 20,000 sq ft food store. French-owned Accor UK has been involved with the project for more than three years. The project was designed by Manchester-based architect HKR. |
