A record construction year for Galliford Try E-mail

Galliford Try today revealed soaring profits after the company’s acquisition of housebuilder Linden Homes earlier this year.

Profits before tax and after exceptional items rose 75% to £60.2m in the year ending 30 June. The company’s revenues rose 65% to £1.4bn.

The company also reported a construction order book of £2.1m.

Galliford Try said it saw a record number of housebuilding completions of 1,526 and 90% revenue growth in affordable housing and regeneration.

Chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “Galliford Try has had an excellent year. We have delivered significant profit growth across all our businesses, with the acquisitions we made in the prior year and Linden Homes , acquired in March 2007, performing ahead of expectations.”
