£300 million Don Valley scheme E-mail
Thursday, 21 February 2008

Plans are being prepared for the transformation of the Don Valley in Sheffield - a ten year project which will deliver a £300m mixed used scheme.

British Land aims to develop more than 60 acres of former industrial land between the River Don, Meadowhall Way, Sheffield Road and Weedon Street.

A new residential district of 1300 homes would be complemented by blocks of offices, shops, restaurants and a new riverside park.

The development, which has been on the drawing board for five years, is due to be submitted to Sheffield Council for outline planning approval in the next few weeks.

Initial plans are set to be displayed in the Meadowhall Centre next week.
