Plans have been submitted to build a £125m skyscraper in Birmingham City Centre - the tallest building outside of London.
Regal Property Group has submitted an outline planning application to Birmingham City Council for the 200m Regal Tower. The 56-storey mixed-use skyscraper will house a 289-room hotel, shops, 256 serviced apartments, banqueting suite, conference and meeting rooms, a premium bar and restaurant, as well as a spa and fitness suite, and three storey’s of penthouses set within the ‘Crown’ at the top of the building. Subject to approval, work could start on site by the end of 2010. The scheme is expected to take three years to complete. |
