WRAP invites contractors to join Construction Support Framework E-mail
Friday, 08 December 2006
Recycling body WRAP today invited contractors to become part of its Construction Support Framework.

The organisation is inviting tenders from consultants to advise it directly and to help construction businesses to improve their materials efficiency, using outputs available from WRAP’s Construction Programme.

Wrap said the aim of the project is to help set requirements for waste minimisation and management, materials recycling and/or recycled content in construction projects.

The framework adds to WRAP’s existing construction procurement and technical framework. It covers four areas:

* general support to WRAP and the construction industry

* developing a darabase from which clients can base decisions on materials resource efficiency (including recovery and recycling)

* develop achievable and practical project-based construction requirements and targets

* advocacy and training to WRAP’s construction audiences
