| Mott MacDonald wins flood work |

Consultant Mott MacDonald has been appointed by the Environment Agency to provide flood risk management services as part of a new framework.
The contract, for England and Wales, will run for up to four years, beginning in February 2009. Mott MacDonald’s role on the nationwide Strategic Flood Risk Management Framework 2 (SFRMF-2) is expected to include flood hydrology, hydraulic modelling (both one- and two-dimensional), flood risk mapping (including hazard mapping), flood forecasting modelling, reservoir failure inundation studies, and surface water flood management. In addition, Mott MacDonald will be working with RAB Consultants, who will provide specialist sub-consultancy services on flood warning, emergency response, and post-event analysis.
