Scottish Power has applied for planning consent to add another 36 turbines to its giant windfarm at Kilbride.
The £300m windfarm on a 30-mile stretch of land on the Eaglesham Moor, East Kilbride already has consent for up to 140 turbines. The extension would make it one of the largest onshore windfarms in the world, capable of generating enough electricity for almost 250,000 homes. |
