The document is part of a commitment that the main board of Kier plc made in its Annual Report & Accounts 2006.

The commitment was: "To provide leadership in the raising of awareness and understanding of sustainability in our workforce, members of our supply chain, our clients and other stakeholders and to encourage participation in achieving our goals".
