| Wates chosen for Leeds dance development |

Leeds City Council has appointed Wates Construction as preferred bidder to build a £12m dance building in the city. Wates and architects Strategic Design Alliance will work on design proposals for the building, which will house the Northern Ballet Theatre and Phoenix Dance Theatre at Quarry Hill. A final contractor is expected to be announced at the end of 2008. Work will then begin in spring 2009 with completion scheduled for summer 2010. |
