North Midland Construction, D.Morgan and Galliford Try Infrastructure have been appointed by Liverpool City Council for its three year £20m City Centre Movement Strategy.
The framework agreement will include contracts to upgrade and regenerate key city centre streets, including the Castle Street scheme, with work on both highways and public realm. Liverpool's City Centre Movement Strategy has been delivering improvements to roads and public spaces since its launch in 2003 with over £70m invested in new pavements, squares and highways. The council's highways project team has won a number of awards for CCMS schemes, most recently a Landscape Institute Award in 2008 and a Constructing Excellence Award for the Built Environment in 2009. Work on the new schemes will begin in 2010. |
