| Tender launched for Brunswick housing PFI |

Manchester City Council has launched a tender for its Brunswick HRA Housing PFI contract. The project, which was recently awarded £100m of PFI credits, will see the refurbishment, management and maintenance of approximately 1,000 units of council housing on the Brunswick estate in Manchester.It is expected that this will include approximately 25% being reprovision works and 25% of council homes being demolished with land released (together with other land assembled by the contractor) to be used for the new council houses and for approx 400 plus new build homes for sale to be developed by the successful economic operator. The deadline for expressions of interest for the project is 2nd November 2007 at 16:00.
