| Skanska wins £65m NHS contract |

Skanska has today been awarded a £65m contract to carry out construction work at The State Hospital, Carstairs for NHS Scotland. Under the contract, Skanska will undertake the construction of a new facility covering an area of 19,000 square metres as well as the demolition, refurbishment and alteration of a further 1,500 square metres of existing buildings. Work also involves significant landscaping throughout the 60-acre site. In addition to the construction works, Skanska will undertake the mechanical, electrical, voice and data installations for the new hospital. Skanska’s professional team for this project includes Macmon – lead architects, Rybka – Mechanical and Electrical Consultants and Faber Maunsell – Civil/Structural Consultants. |
