Skanska awarded contract to build London development E-mail

Swedish based construction company Skanska, has been awarded a contract worth £150million to construct the Walbrook office and retail development in central London.

 

The construction project, at the intersection of Walbrook and Bond Court, with frontage on Cannon Street, will be one of the largest in the City of London. It will comprise a total of approximately 60,600 sq m, consisting of 35,000 sq m of rentable office area and 6,000 sq m for stores and restaurants.

Skanska will carry out the work for British property investment and development company, Minerva plc. 

Construction work is expected to finish towards the end of 2009.
