Gleeson Building has won a £65m PFI contract, its biggest yet. The company won the contract from Avantage and will design and construct five care home facilities as part of a new £200m PFI scheme in Cheshire.
Carillion Property Services (CPS), the recently-formed property services arm of construction company Carillion plc, has been awarded a four-year housing framework contract with Aberdeen City Council, potentially worth in the region of £20 million.
Interserve, in consortium with John Laing and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, has been named as preferred bidder for the £230m Pembury Hospital scheme in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The new 512-bed Pembury Hospital will be the first NHS acute facility with 100% single, ensuite rooms.
