Morgan Ashurst takes Leicester Uni gig

Morgan Ashurst has been awarded a £10.5m contract to extend and refurbish the Students’ Union building at the University of Leicester.It is the latest part of the university's £1bn project to redevelop its campus and will see the original Percy Gee union building completely redesigned to include a 1,700-capacity live music hall.

It will also include a new nightclub / lounge bar, an activities resource centre for clubs and societies, advice centres, shops and cafes.

Morgan Ashurst will also improve the existing accommodation agency.

Work is due to be completed in August 2010.
