John Laing has won a £75m contract to build a mental health hospital in Middlesborough. The new 312-bed hospital will have a floor area of 26,000m2. Peter Ward, director of hospital projects at John Laing said: “The design will offer patients a welcoming, non-institutional environment and help the trust set a new standard for modern mental healthcare services.”
Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust who appointed John Laing, will be working closely with them, and will make sure that the proposed scheme remains affordable, and sustainable for the future. |
