ISG InteriorExterior has won a £5.2m project with Imperial College London at its South Kensington campus.

The work will be undertaken on the Sheffield Building of the campus, home to the Humanities and Science and Technology departments.

The project involves infilling two large light wells within the Sheffield Building to provide additional accommodation, and the refurbishment and rationalisation of space across a number of floors.

A structural steel frame will be constructed within the two light well voids from the third to the fifth floor to provide open plan accommodation across these levels. Across the three floors, the contractor will strip out and refurbish facilities, creating offices and meeting rooms, installing new suspended ceilings, glazed partition walls and upgrading existing mechanical & electrical services.

Steve Trotter, managing director of ISG InteriorExterior said: “Developing strong commercial partnerships represents a key business aim, as this promotes greater understanding of clients’ specific requirements and enables ISG InteriorExterior to add value at every stage of the development process.”

The project is due for completion September of this year.
