| Galliford Try wins affordable housing contract |

Galliford Try has won a £10.75m affordable housing contract in Barking, East London. East Homes has appointed the contractor to design and build 93 mixed tenure affordable homes. Works will commence on site immediately with completion anticipated June 2008. Galliford will build the homes using an RC frame and will use lightweight concrete partition walls for non load bearing walls for apartments. This will improve the speed of construction and sound reduction.
The housing units will have communal roof gardens. |
