Galliford Try take £19m rail contracts

Galliford Try has won two rail contracts worth a total of £19m.

It will carry out a £13m regeneration project at Newport station in south Wales for Network Rail. This project is due to be completed by autumn 2010.

The second is a £6m contract is to upgrade 12 former Silverlink stations in London under a £6 million deal. The contract is for electrical, telecommunications and civils works.

Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “We are delighted to secure new work in the rail sector for both Network Rail and London Underground, underlining our capacity to provide clients with a single source construction solution to their projects.”
