Quoted consultant WSP Group has announced two major contract wins in Dubai.

The group has been appointed as the structural engineer for the Nakheel Tower and is also playing a major role in Meraas Development's $95bn Jumeira Gardens scheme, an urban regeneration plan.

WSP will support the development of the master plan and infrastructure works for the latter over a period of several years.

"I expect our wide Middle East region to grow significantly in the next few years," said WSP's chief executive officer, Chris Cole.
