| Costain wins M27 contract |

Costain has been awarded two design and build contracts totalling £40m, for the M27 motorway. The contracts were awarded by the Highways Agency. The first contract consists of widening the of the M27 between Junctions 3 and 4, adding 4km of additional lane to each carriageway and a central reserve concrete barrier as well as new super span gantries. The second involves construction of two km of additional climbing lanes between Junctions 11 and 12 for each carriageway. |
