| Carillion wins £12.5m Northumbrian Water contract |

Carillion has secured a £12.5m contract to upgrade the Stressholme STW, in Darlington for client Northumbrian Water. The contact will include the construction of eight, 35m diameter secondary treatment filters and associated pumping stations together with improvements to the Inlet Works, Storm Tanks, Sludge Plant and associated infrastructure and all M&E works. It is thought work will begin at the end of April with completion scheduled for 2010. Bob Lorenzo, regional director for Carillion Water said: “We are delighted to have been selected to build this major scheme for Northumbrian Water. They are a very important client and this success confirms Carillion’s commitment to continue as a preferred contractor for many years to come.” |
