Carillion has secured a five-year Managing Agent Contractor (MAC) contract for the Highways Agency with its joint venture partner, WSP, worth £85m. The contract is for the maintenance of all motorways and trunk roads in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire with Milton Keynes and Luton unitary authorities. The contract, due to start in September 2008, will run until September 2013 with the potential for two one-year extensions through to 2015. Carillion has a 60% interest in the joint venture and WSP holds the remaining 40%. |
