| Blackpool contract for Bardsley |

Bardsley Construction, the Manchester based contractor, has secured a school construction project in Blackpool worth in excess of £10m, taking its current education sector order book to over £41m.
The Blackpool Sixth Form College Scheme is currently the company’s largest education project. Work is due to start on site this month. Lee McCarren, group chief executive said: "We've enjoyed an extremely successful run in the education sector over the past 3-4 years and this contract will take our revenues over £100 million." "Education has been central to Government policy and remains integral to our future business plans. We continue to invest in our people and infrastructure to ensure we deliver a competitive and highly skilled resource to our customers" Since March 2001, 50 education- based schemes have been completed, and over the past three years, Bardsley has provided facilities for over 6,000 students.
