| Balfour Beatty takes Liverpool Lime Street |

The redevelopment of Liverpool's Lime Street train station can now move forward after construction company Balfour Beatty were appointed to the scheme.
Balfour Beatty Regional Civil Engineering have been appointed to build a new public space at the entrance to the station. The project, which has been in planning since 2004, is part of the £25m station revamp. The organisations involved in the redevelopment are: Liverpool Vision, the Homes and Communities Agency, Liverpool City Council, Network Rail and Merseytravel, The scheme is due to complete in Spring 2010. |
