| Balfour Beatty takes Kensington street scheme |

Balfour Beatty has been appointed to carry out the £21.8m second phase of works on Exhibition Road in London for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The second phase will see the road repaved as a single surface from South Kensington station to Hyde Park. The first phase started in February and included the removal of the one-way traffic system around South Kensington Underground Station. Work is due to start in January 2010 with the scheme scheduled to be completed before the 2012 Olympic Games. |
