AMEC wins Thames Water contract E-mail

AMEC has won a £28m contract fromThames Water.

The contract is to construct a 4.5km tunnel connecting a-major water works to the London Ring Main.
 
The contract also involves a mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and communications upgrade and sinking two 50m-deep launch and reception shafts.
 
Detailed design will begin immediately with work on site scheduled to start in July this year. Completion is planned for spring 2010.
