Rumours that building materials company Wolseley is about to offload significant parts of its US operations helped lift the FTSE this morning.
The group, as yet, has made no comment on the rumours, but has seen its shareprice rise 11% in morning trading. In June the group revealed a 28% slump in profits,a large part of it put down to exposure to the US housing market. |
