Civil engineering consultant Hyder Consulting has achieved record profits. Profit before tax and for the year yto 31 March 2008 rose to £14.4m from £10.4m in 2007 on revenue up 15% to £233.7m. The firm also said its order book had increased by 29% to a record £314m, with the largest expansion in its international markets, especially the Middle East. Hyder has already secured around 60% of its 2008/9 revenue target. "As well as revenues and profits, the order book in all regions grew satisfactorily and the board is confident of further progress this year," it said. |
