Rail contractorJarvis says trading in the year to date has been up to its expectations with increased volumes in the rail business through the second quarter.
New contracts have been secured with Network Rail worth in the region of £20m, Jarvis added. Plant has benefited from the enhancement works undertaken during the extensive summer works programme. Lower demand for transport vehicles for hire has continued. Freight container volumes in the second quarter were again affected by lower imports, but the coal haulage business performed well the statement said. |
