Best will be responsible for the strategic development of Morgan Ashurst’s rail business which specialises in the design, construction and refurbishment of non-track infrastructure working for clients such as Network Rail, High Speed 1, London Underground as well as train and tramway operating companies.

He said:  “The rail sector is presenting long-term opportunities for us.  Network Rail has committed £34bn to its Control Period 4 programme, along with opportunities in the freight rail sector and with frameworks for both Train Operating Companies and local rail companies. 

“We have recently obtained qualified supplier status with Achilles Link Up and we are looking forward to being awarded our Principal Contractor’s License in the New Year.  This means we will be able to extend our construction services to a wider cross section of clients in the rail industry.”
