The former head of BP, Lord Browne of Madingley, has been appointed to the board of architect Foster + Partners as senior non-executive director. Lord Browne will chair various committees and will have an input into the strategic direction of the company. Lord Browne will join founder and chairman Lord Foster, chief executive Mouzhan Majidi and other senior executives on the board, as well as Steven Nicholls, head of UK Growth Capital at 3i, the private equity company which has recently invested in Foster + Partners. Lord Foster said: “I have known John for many years and it is a great pleasure to welcome him to the board of Foster + Partners. He brings extraordinary and unequalled expertise in business combined with knowledge and passion for the arts, and we are enormously pleased that he has agreed to share his invaluable experience with us." Lord Browne stepped down as head of BP in controversial circumstances. |
