Jonathan Seddon, 35, was appointed as a director of G and J Seddon in 1998 but his latest promotion confirms the handover of the business to the fourth generation of the Seddon family.
 
Jonathan Seddon 's father, Christopher Seddon, remains as a strategic presence in the business in his role as non-executive chairman.
 
His new role sees him take responsibility for the day to day running of the business as well as forging ahead with new developments and expansion plans.
 
Christopher Seddon said: "This is a very exciting time for G and J Seddon which is entering a new era with Jonathan at the helm.  I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to all the employees of G and J Seddon for their efforts in helping and working with me over the years, I am confident that Jonathan will have the same support.
