| BRE appoints Scotland director |

Rufus Logan has been appointed as the new director of Building Research Establishment (BRE) Scotland, the provider of technical and consultancy support for the construction industry and Government in the country. Logan has worked at BRE since 2002, taking a lead role in developing and securing a number of key strategic sustainability programmes, including the SmartLIFE project in Cambridgeshire, BRE’s globally renowned Innovation Park, and the BERR funded Knowledge Transfer Network for the Modern Built Environment (MBEKTN). His work on BRE’s regional growth resulted in the creation of a new office in Inverness – BRE Highlands, and in 2005 BRE Wales, based at Port Talbot. |
