Boris Johnson has kicked off his leadership of London by announcing that the leader of Westminster Council Sir Simon Milton would be joining his team as senior adviser on planning. Milton, also chair of the Local Government Association, has been an outspoken critic of the planning powers granted to the mayor during Ken Livingstone's reign. Milton will stay at Westminster until 18 June. |
