Ferguson takes over responsibility for leading the Scottish construction industry’s main industry advisory body for the next two years.

He said: “The industry’s plan, endorsed by Government, set up the Forum nearly five years ago and since then it has done much to improve innovation and raise training, procurement and health and safety standards.

“The recent refresh of this plan renewed our mandate to support the industry and help meet the new and continuing challenges of sustainability targets, innovation and skills improvement. I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
